A NEW HOME IN THE HEART OF FLORENCE

As we enter our 25th year, we are thrilled to share an exciting new chapter in the journey of Project Threadways, Alabama Chanin, and The School of Making. 

After two decades of visioning and planning, we have purchased a historic warehouse in downtown Florence. 
We are now ready to transform this iconic space into our new headquarters, maker lab, and vibrant community hub.

This new home will allow us to deepen our connection with the local community, while advancing our mission to nurture artisan craft, provide educational opportunities, partner with academic institutions, and preserve stories of textiles in our region and nation.

As we embark on this exciting journey, we humbly ask for your support.
