We will be celebrating Alabama Chanin Collection #70 and Project Threadways at HerStory in Dallas, Texas, April 3-5. Meet Natalie and Jess there, with an opening reception on Thursday evening, April 3.
Project Threadways Symposium 2025
The Project Threadways Symposium brings together scholars, activists, makers, and thinkers to present research, share stories, and encourage dialogue about history, community, and power—all through the lens of fashion and textiles. Presentations, dinners, exhibitions, and workshops create a multi-day experience in Florence, Alabama, centered on material culture and making. Virtual registration is also available. In 2025, our theme is Food, Clothing, and Shelter. Presentations will explore the intersection of art and necessity, connect climate and culture, and share stories of artists, designers, and craftspeople who shape our everyday lives.
